Shelter Bay Charter's Fills The Cooler!

I have been fishing with Captain Mitch for over 10 years.  I have fished Lake Michigan for over 20 years and I am still in awe every time I head to this beautiful area and the big waters of Lake Superior.  The boat and equipment is always impeccable and Mitch will do everything he can to make sure you have a safe, fun and productive experience.  Mitch is a man a few words, but his actions speak for themselves as we have had successful trips every time we have fished with him.  We have had times when the weather has not been perfect which can make fishing difficult.  Mitch continues to put fish in the boat.  I have brought multiple guests with me and everyone echoes the same message.  Mitch knows how to fill the cooler.

Life Is Gooooood!

"I had no idea what I was in for! My left arm still looks like "Popeye's." This trout was truly a Canadian citizen - I know, I pulled him all the way across Lake Superior.

We left the dock at 5 AM and headed out to the Big Reef.

The weather was perfect and the fish even better. My brethren who joined me and I have fished many a places in Canada and NONE compare to the day we had with you, Captain Mattson!

THIS is the life! Life is good!

Thank you! Luke"

Thanks For The Fond Memory!

"Thank you, Captain Mitch, for taking us out on Lake Superior fishing. It truly was a wonderful time. You knew exactly where to go to get an hour or so out there and get Dad his limit. He couldn't have handled the Stannard Rock trip. No way. This was perfect! We have a story for you on our website. You can read it at Kitchi-Gummi.

All the best!

Thank you!
Jodi

"The boat...Its decks were clean and swabbed, its railing shining from the layers of poly.... Downriggers manned the sides like soldiers ready for battle and tackle lined the cab's wall readied as ammunition."

"Captain Mitch worked feverously putting down and pulling up the outriggers, tightening and loosening the lines, checking the depth finder, scouring the depths, looking for a mark. He was obviously unsatisfied with a 'no catch' day, despite our repeated proclamations of enjoyment and thanks, to which he only responded with, "Prepare to stay until your dad has met his limit."

I'll Pour For You Anytime, Brotheran

"You not only talked the talk, you walked the walk! 'Bullshit is cheap, it takes money to buy whiskey.' I would be honored to pour for you anyday."
